The Enquirer also understands that Amit Oberoi is no longer a trustee of the Lighthouse Charity – a role he only took on in April.

Oberoi was appointed Executive Chairman of the CCS in March 2023.

He was previously non-Executive Chairman from July 2022 and prior to that a Board Director from January 2022.

A CCS press release at the time of his appointment statd: “Amit is a Global Risk Management Practitioner, with over 20 years hands-on cross industry experience in leadership roles in construction, technology, management consulting and national authorities.

“Amit currently works as Chief Executive at The Resilience Factor, a Mental Health Technology Company. He has previously worked for construction organisations including Lendlease and on large high profile infrastructure projects in locations in the UK, Middle East and Australia.”

The CCS charges contractors a membership fee to promote themselves as considerate companies.

Oberoi’s colleague and Chief Strategy Officer Alex Minett has also left the CCS after joining in January

A spokesperson for the Considerate Constructors Scheme said: “We can confirm that Amit Oberoi and Alex Minett are no longer employed by CCS. CCS continues to focus on its core strategic objective of raising standards in the construction industry.”
