Muir bags £25m Morrisons supermarket

Muir Construction has won the contract race to build a new £25m Morrisons supermarket in Kirkcaldy, Scotland.

The former B&Q building at the site has already been demolished to make way for the new store and a petrol filling station.

Construction information specialist Glenigan said Muir beat rival bidders Kier, ISG, Johnson Group and BAM to win the project.

Main construction work starts on site this month and is due for completion later this year.
