Six developers chase £450m north London scheme

Haringey Council has shortlisted six bidders for its £450m High Road West scheme to build more than 1,400 new homes and a major new public square in Tottenham.

The shortlisted companies are: Barratt Developments; Countryside Properties; Lendlease Development; Linkcity (Bouygues); Stanhope, and  Taylor Wimpey.

A final decision on the partner for The 11 hectare High Road West’ scheme running next to the new Spurs stadium project will be announced by mid 2017.

The masterplan includes a new public space linking a revamped £14m White Hart Lane station to the new football stadium, with a park, restaurant, library and learning centre.

The High Road West development is the latest in a series of major investments in Tottenham which will see £1bn of public and private backing to transform the area, with 10,000 new homes and 5,000 new jobs by 2025.

The High Road West development is the latest project in the £1bn regeneration of Tottenham, which aims to bring 10,000 houses and 5,000 new jobs by 2025.

Last month the council named the three shortlisted bidders to enter a partnership that will deliver plans for £2bn of development across the borough.

The shortlisted firms were Lendlease; Morgan Sindall with Affinity Sutton and Circle Housing; and Pinnacle with Starwood Capital and Catalyst.
