Betting Spy: Villa and Arsenal to win

Nothing is ever over in football until the fat man in the middle blows his whistle.

That was certainly the case at St James’ Park last week when Newcastle defender Fabio Coloccini scored an equaliser in the 94th minute to ruin our 7/2 punt on Wigan.

The Latics were two up and cruising within 25 minutes and Betting Spy was counting its cash as the game eased into injury time. Then cue Coloccini with his heartbreaking header.

Now Fabio is the stuff of nightmares already being a ginger-haired Argentinian with a bubble perm.

But he went straight to the top of the Freddie Krueger league of sleep-interrupters with that late, late strike.

At least Everton beat lamentable Liverpool to make it a profitable weekend so where should our money be reinvested?

Aston Villa look a decent bet at  to win at Sunderland who only score if Darren Bent hits the net.

Watching Sunderland has been a real yawn this season so lets brighten things up with a punt on Villa to nick the match at 2/1 with Paddy Power.

It’s not often you see 2/1 chalked-up against Arsenal in the league either but that’s the price the bookies are dangling for the Gunners to win away against Man City.

City have got some decent players, but they don’t convince me as a team at the moment and rely far too heavily on Carlos Tevez to win matches.

They were outplayed by Blackpool for long stretches of the game last week so we’ll snap up Ladbrokes’ 2/1 on Arsene Wenger’s lads to come home with the points.

West Ham entertain Newcastle at the Boleyn this Saturday. If a certain ginger centre half scores the winner you might see a man explode in the East Side.
