Constructionline has organised the supplier engagement day on Tuesday September 25.

Kier is looking for firms to help build the new £3.5m housing development in conjunction with Your Housing, Wulvern Housing and Cheshire East Council.

Companies within a 50 mile radius of Cheshire are invited to tender for work.

The will be held at Ramada Encore Hotel between 9am and 4pm.

Claire Makin, business development manager from Constructionline, said: “It can be difficult for local construction companies to get involved in housing developments of this scale.

“It is therefore positive that Kier is offering local subcontractors an opportunity to work with them on this project.

“Hosting supplier engagement days like this is at the heart of what we do – we want to help suppliers find and secure work and make it easier for businesses to find reliable and local construction companies.”

Kier divisional design manager, Pat Mondino, said: “We are committed to supporting the economy in the areas in which we work, investing in the local workforce, suppliers and subcontractors.

“This event gives us the opportunity to speak to companies in Cheshire to establish how they can support our supply chain while also providing an opportunity for them to further enhance their own business prospects.”
