Ian Taylor has joined as managing director of the Northern Ireland firm’s Midlands business.
He will be responsible for driving the growth of the business in the region following the opening of a new Nottingham office in February.
Taylor started his career as an apprentice bricklayer in 1980 before returning to education and then joining John Laing to progress through the ranks from quantity surveyor to general manager of its Nottingham office.
He joined Mansell Eastern in 2005 as commercial director before being promoted to managing director in 2008 and subsequently Balfour Beatty regional director East Midlands.
He will use his experience of frameworks to assist in the management of the MOD framework for capital works projects for East Midlands and Eastern England.
