Bowker, who previously worked for Kier as regional director with overall responsibility for their operations in Manchester, now heads up Vinci’s North West and Retail region.

He takes over from John Roberts, who has been promoted to regional managing director for Vinci’s part of the business overseeing the North West, North East and Midlands regions.

Vinci Construction UK’s North West region is delivering several big projects including the regeneration project in Warrington and the new intu shopping centre at Barton Square.

The Midlands have recently been appointed to deliver the £27m Catalyst building for Staffordshire University with the North East restoring the Guildhall, one of York’s most historically significant buildings, combining a value in excess of over £200m.

Bowker’s appointment completes the new management structure across the North following Keith Shivers retirement and Chris Winspear’s appointment as the new regional director for the North East, who previously worked for Balfour Beatty.
