The consultant confirmed that staff numbers grew by 151 to 1,259 during the year to June 30 2015.
Pre-tax profits also rose to £2m from £800,000 last time on the back of turnover up to £83.9m from £68.8m.
Waterman now generates 89% of its revenue from the UK after withdrawing from China, UAE and Russia over the last three years.
Nick Taylor, Chief Executive said: “The strategy announced in 2013 to re-focus the Group primarily on the UK has been a significant success.
“The Board is looking to the future with confidence. We expect to deliver further growth in the current year.
“Our future aspiration is to improve the Group adjusted operating margin towards 6% over the next four years from the current level of 3.3%.”
