His appoint follows Paul Heather’s decision to leave Skanska to join Sir Robert McAlpine.
Holbrook has built his career in Skanska over the last 21 years, after joining the company as a sponsored student of commercial management in 1995.
He is promoted from his position as commercial director and will become a member of Skanska’s senior management team.
The Enquirer understands Heather will head McAlpine’s London operations, filling the role previously held by Vince Corrigan who left to join specialist contractor Keltbray.
Heather is the second high profile building director to announce he is leaving in the last few weeks. His boss Paul Chandler is stepping down from the position as UK building chief at the end of the year and is rumoured to be joining Wates.
