With a series of major project wins now under its belt, Skanska has broken Kier and Balfour Beatty’s dominance of the new orders league tables for the first time.
But even the large Cambridge biomedical park job win last month failed to secure pole position for Skanska at the top of the February league table.
This honour was reserved for Laing O’Rourke following its massive £440m Westgate Oxford project win for joint clients Land Securities and Crown Estates.
The contractor also bagged an £80m office scheme in Manchester for Mosley Street Ventures to bring its haul of secured new work to £520m in February.
