Demolition of the existing building will start this week marking the fourth scheme delivered in partnership between the two organisations.
The new £12m three-storey development has been carefully designed to provide high-quality specialist accommodation for older people requiring residential, nursing and dementia care.
Jordan Connachie, Managing Director of Kori Construction, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by Care UK on what will be our fourth scheme together, continuing a strong and successful partnership built on delivering high-quality care environments.
“This proposed development has been thoughtfully designed around the needs of residents and the wider community, creating a modern, comfortable and safe environment that promotes independence and wellbeing for older people requiring specialist care.
“As demand for high-quality elderly care accommodation continues to grow, particularly for dementia and nursing provision, we know this development will play an important role in supporting the local community in Mitcham while delivering facilities that meet modern care standards.”
