The YORbuild Major Works 2 framework covers projects across Yorkshire and the Humber, the North East, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and parts of Leicestershire, with an initial four-year term and the option of a two-year extension. It is split between a £600m lot for schemes valued at £10m-£30m and a £900m lot for projects above £30m.
YORbuild has historically been the go-to procurement vehicle for regional local authorities, including Leeds City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The framework has also been widely used by the Department for Education, NHS trusts, universities, colleges and blue-light authorities to procure major construction projects.
Projects will adopt NEC4 and JCT forms and stress modern methods of construction, low-carbon delivery, and local employment initiatives aligned with the Construction Playbook.
Awards will be formally signed off in early July after the standstill period.
