The contractor will replace seven existing buildings, including 1960s blocks containing RAAC, with a new 10,000 sq m school on the existing Wessex Close site.
Early works started this summer ahead of foundation work getting underway in the autumn.
Graham regional director Pat O’Hare said a new two and three-storey building would bring teaching, specialist learning and sports facilities under one roof across the 6.8-hectare campus.
Facilities will include music, art, design and technology rooms, ICT, humanities, maths and science classrooms, alongside an activity studio, sports hall and swimming pool.
The scheme will also provide dedicated SEND space, an administration suite and separate school and community entrances.
External works include new sports pitches, reconfigured staff parking and a cycle shelter, while green roofs and solar PV canopies will improve environmental performance.
Mason Navarro Pledge is structural engineer and Cundall is MEP engineer.
The project is Graham’s third appointment through the DfE Construction Framework 2021, following The Castle Rock School in Leicestershire and Oasis Academy Temple Quarter in Bristol.
