Warwickshire County Council selected the Leeds-based contractor for the design and build scheme, which forms a key part of the wider Transforming Nuneaton regeneration programme.
Work is expected to start later this month after the standstill period ends.
The project will transform the former Royal Mail Delivery Office site into a new library and business centre designed to act as a civic and economic anchor for the town centre, boosting footfall and supporting local businesses.
GMI will take responsibility for completing the design as well as construction. Mace Consult will remain on the project as project manager, contract administrator and cost manager through RIBA stages 5 to 7.
The job is scheduled to run from 21 August 2026 to 31 December 2027.
