The Scottish Crime Campus at Gartcosh is a major construction project that will house Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency, Scottish Police Services Authority Forensic Service (Glasgow), Crown Office Procurator Fiscal Service, HM Revenue & Customs and the Serious Organised Crime Agency under one roof.
Based on Washington DC’s FBI headquarters, the £80m centre is co-designed by BMJ and gm+ad architects and will house 700 officers once fully operational in 2013.
The first stage of construction work on the project is being undertaken by developer Sir Robert McAlpine and is expected to be completed next February, with the North Lanarkshire campus scheduled to become operational by 2012.
