Work on the Harrow Campus will involve a combination of light refurbishment, full scale refurbishment and the demolition and reconstruction of some academic buildings.
There are eight existing buildings on the site and most will be refurbished to differing extents. Up to three of the existing buildings will be demolished.
The project will be split into three phases to allow for the University to remain in occupation and continue teaching throughout the entire project.
The successful contractor will need to put into place procedures to minimise noise and any other disruption and nuisance to users of the rest of the Harrow Campus during the 30 month contract.
The 38,000 square metres scheme will be tendered as a single project with the same contractor undertaking all three phases.
Buildings will be designed to achieve a Breeam very good rating with 10 % of its energy requirements generated on-site from renewable or low carbon sources.
Contractors have until October 20 to register their interest before invitations to tender are sent on November 22. For more information contact Andrew Rance at [email protected] or [email protected]
