Efficiency North has started the hunt for a wide array of trade contractors to join a new £800m framework for landlords in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

The procurement body is being backed by the Homes and Communities Agency and the Regional Improvement Partnership to set up the E N Procure trade contractor framework.

This will run for four years covering works commonly used in the improvement and maintenance of housing.

The scheme will cover 19 trade categories split into 37 individual lots to reflect the requirement for smaller and larger trade contractors across the East, South and West sub-regions of Yorkshire and the Humber.

Seven landlords from the Yorkshire and Humber region have signed up to the E N Procure Elemental Works Framework.

  • Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council and its ALMO Berneslai Homes
  • Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and its ALMO St Leger Homes
  • East Riding of Yorkshire Council (East area)
  • Kingston upon Hull City Council
  • Selby District Council
  • Sheffield City Council and its ALMO Sheffield Homes
  • · Wakefield and District Housing. (West area)

The procurement process will be hosted using an on-line supplier contract management system, a procurement portal for the councils within the Yorkshire and the Humber region. Email: https://scms.alito.co.uk/

Bids are being invited for the first of the three regions in the south, which will be handled by Barnsley Council. This southern region alone is expected to be worth around £325m over four years.

The closing date for expressions of interest is noon on the 13 December.
