Construction will start next year on the latest stage of client RT Group Development’s city-centre scheme after Balfour saw off competition from Bam, Sir Robert McAlpine and John Sisk.
The 14-floor office building will comprise 310,867 sq ft of space and is expected to be completed in late 2012.
The tower is the second stage of the four-phase development which stalled on site nearly two years ago following funding problems.
The first stage of the Snowhill development was built by Kier and is fully occupied.
