Social housing group Orbit has named its framework contractors to handle new building work around the Midlands, East Anglia and South East.

Mansell, Leadbitter, Lovell and Hill Partnerships have all won at least two regions with around 10 other building firms making the cut on the £185m four-year, new build framework.

Orbit group has grown to be one of the largest housing groups in the country managing around 34,000 homes and handles all new build and repair and maintenance work through framework deals.

Orbit Homes managing director Paul High said: “We are confident that our partnerships with the contractors named in our framework will work well and enable us to meet our target of providing 1000 homes per year by 2012.”
