The hospital is searching for a consortium that can design, build, service and fund the redevelopment at its Stanmore site.
An open day, which will provide bidders with further information about the PFI project, will be held at the RNOH on 10 February.
Chief Executive Rob Hurd said it was a key milestone in the official procurement process.
“We can now start working formally with private partners interested in bidding to build a new healthcare facility at the RNOH,” he said.
The RNOH’s redevelopment plans include 124 adult and child beds, with embedded therapies and clinical offices, Imaging Department, landscaped gardens, site wide catering facilities, a new hospital main entrance including café and retail facilities.
The Trust plans to select a preferred bidder in January 2013 with construction starting on site in mid 2013.
