The contractor’s development arm has secured planning permission for the second building on its site – an 115,000sq ft seven-storey commercial office scheme.
BAM Properties Development Director, Michael Smart, said: “This will be a high-spec development, designed and built to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating to deliver energy efficiency and low running costs.
“There are two outstanding features: flexible floor layouts that can be specified by the future occupier, and a raft of energy efficient features.”
He added: “Construction can commence almost immediately following agreement with a prospective occupier. This flexibility is possible because the design work is being done by BAM Design and the 18-month build will be undertaken by BAM Construction.”
