The 12,000 stadium will be built on the former Guest and Chrimes foundry site in the centre of the town.
Designs were revealed today along with the construction team, which includes Gleeds as project manager.
Jarrod Best, managing director of GMI Construction Group, said: “Securing GMI’s place on the delivery team for Rotherham United’s new stadium is an exciting honour for us.
“The designers, S+P Architects, have had a desire from the outset to create a scheme of major benefit for local people and to deliver the most fan-friendly stadium. It will be an exceptional place to watch football and a fantastic addition to the town centre renaissance programme.”
Simon Morris, associate director and project manager for Gleeds, said: “We are particularly excited with our role as project manager, quantity surveyor and CDM co-ordinator.
“The release of the plans shows both the imagination and ambition displayed by the club and its sponsors and we are looking forward to delivering a world class sporting arena for the town.”
