The new build scheme will provide 671 bed spaces arranged over ten storeys.

Commercial units will be constructed under the main building and the development will be built to achieve a Breeam “Excellent” rating.

Work has recently started on site and is anticipated to complete in September 2012.

The contract is the latest in a series of student accommodation developments Mansell has constructed for Unite in a relationship dating back to 2001.

In 2009 Mansell was awarded the first student accommodation project at Great Suffolk Street, an £18m contract to design and construct 230 new student accommodation units which has recently completed.

Mansell is currently on site at Mansfield Hall in Reading working on a £22.3m project to construct seven multi-storey student accommodation blocks.
