The  £4m hotel has already secured detailed planning permission to be built at Frontier’s Lumina Park development.

Tony O’Brien, UK development director for Travelodge, said: “The London Borough of Enfield has a significant shortage of hotel accommodation and we have been seeking the right site in the borough for some time.

“We have a good relationship with Frontier Estates – they previously built our hotel in Slough – meaning they knew that we could act quickly when their previous tenant pulled out.”
