The partners have obtained planning consent for the £80m mixes-use scheme, which forms a significant part of the Wandsworth Town Centre regeneration proposals.
Wandsworth Business Village will comprise 80,000 sq ft of offices and 209 new apartments – 156 for private sale and 53 to be managed by Octavia Housing Association.
The centre piece of the architecturally-lead development will be a 16-storey residential tower, featuring contemporary materials and glazed cladding and communal rooftop gardens.
Apartments will include private balconies, terraces and winter gardens. The scheme will also comprise street-facing properties up to six storeys high in traditional brickwork to complement the surrounding vernacular.
Mount Anvil will be responsible for the residential element of the project, with the first apartments expected to be ready by June 2014. Workspace Group will retain the ownership of the new commercial part of the scheme, which will be opened in July 2014.
Angus Boag, Development Director, Workspace Group, said: “This is the first of a number of similar consented developments owned by Workspace that will be progressed over the next 3 years with further planning applications in the pipeline.”
