Planning approval for the park element of the scheme has now been granted by Cannock Chase Council.
Halesowen contractor A & H Construction is expected to start on the first phase of building work later this month beginning with the construction of new purpose-built premises for Hollywood Bingo Club and the Reserve Forces and Cadet’s Association (RFCA).
The scheme comprises two sites. The first is located on Rugeley Road and the second lies on Victoria Street, adjacent to Hednesford Park and the railway line.
The first phase of the scheme also includes the creation of new retail outlets facing Market Street and Rugeley Road.
Phase two will see construction of an 80,000 sq ft elevated Tesco store.
