The Corporation has opted to upkeep its properties and carry our responsive repairs through a 5-year framework with the option to extend to 10 years.
Procurement chiefs are breaking the work up into packages covering the famous high-rise Barbican housing complex, the Barbican arts centre, other community housing, investment properties and main operational buildings.
They aim to select contractors at the end of November to start work schedules covering tasks from repairing the building fabric to lift maintenance.
Firms have until 20 June to prequalify ahead of formal invitations to tender on 13 July. Registration is via the London Tenders portal https://www.londontenders.org.
