This Grade II-listed building will be transformed into The Courthouse, which will comprise Grade A-office space and retail and leisure on the ground floor.
Adam Brady, head of Henry Boot Developments’ Manchester office, said: “Built over 100 years ago, we are determined to maintain as many of the original features of the old building as possible, while providing occupiers with modern, high quality space for their business.
“Perfectly located on one of Manchester’s busiest roads and at the gateway to Spinningfields, The Courthouse will offer all the benefits of the city’s newest business district, while enjoying the surroundings of a characterful listed building.”
He added: “Unlike many developers in the current market, we are in the fortunate position of being self-funded and therefore do not need to rely on external sources of finance to progress the scheme.
“Now that the planning approval is in place, we will be working hard to get things moving.”
