The two-year job includes the demolition and soft strip of the existing departure lounge areas, installation of a new conglomerate marble tiled floor system, new gate desks and queuing areas.
Wall finishes are limited to new gate portals and doors to the air bridges for all gates.
A new feature “fin” ceiling is to be installed together with a bulkhead surround at the change of level, linking to the existing plank ceiling.
A new multi-faith and training room is to be provided.
Mechanical and electrical services are to include new distribution ductwork and diffusers and lighting.
The job is scheduled to start on 9 December and run through to the end of 2013.
