Developer named for £11.3m Belper swimming pool

Amber Valley Borough Council is set to sign a deal with developer Landmark Cannon to design and build a £11.5m leisure centre in Belper, Derbyshire.

The new facility is expected to include a 25m six lane main swimming pool, 13m teaching pool with movable floor and sports hall.

Healey Associates are behind the outline design of the facility, which will also feature a 70-station fitness suite and a health suite with treatment rooms and a sauna.

The Leeds-based developer will appoint a main contractor to deliver the £8.3m build once it has signed the deal.
