Plans have been approved by Blaenau Gwent councillors for the two sections of the school, which will be Wales’ first for three to 16-year-olds.
The builder is now thrashing out the details of the project before a contract is signed.
These plans form part of the £350m regeneration project taking place at The Works site.
The primary school building will accommodate 420 pupils while the secondary school will cater for up to 1,100 pupils in a a two and three storey building on the 7 acre site.
