Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have decided to reinvite contractors to bid for a scaled down project, which will be publicly funded.

The original Blackpool Victoria Hospital project was costed at £20m and also include significant up-grading of the road network around the hospital and changes to the existing car parks.

Firms are now being inviting contractors to prequalify to build a 1,000 space car park and main entrance and offices for the hospital, costed from £11m-£16m.

ESE Project Management is acting as agent for the trust, which hopes to have an contractor on board to start this September.
