The contractor beat three other firms with a £11.5m bid to deliver the Centrum project consisting of 40,000 sq ft of laboratory and office space.
It forms a key part of ‘Project 26’ in the Norwich Research Park development plan, which has come about as a result of £26m funding awarded through the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council in the 2011 Government Budget.
The Norwich Research Park is a collaboration between the University of East Anglia, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals, and four independent research centres; the John Innes Centre, the Institute of Food Research, the Sainsbury Laboratory and The Genome Analysis Centre.
