The council aims to let the first phase of its Kings Crescent scheme as a two-stage design and build job for around 110 new homes on the cleared site next to Clissold Park.
As part of the contract, the winning firm will also upgrade 101 existing homes at Lemsford, Therfield and Kelshall Court blocks of flats ext to the cleared site.
The council also plans to sell land to the successful builder, which has been set aside to build private homes for sale.
Hackney Council intends to regenerate the estate in four phases over the next five years, delivering 51% of Kings Crescent homes for affordable housing, with 49% for private sale.
