The aim is to redevelop the Palace House and Palace House Stables, a grade II listed group of buildings used almost continuously for the training of racehorses from the days of Charles II to 1985.
The National Horseracing Museum project, includes new build extension and conversion and refurbishment works to existing listed buildings that had fallen into a state of disrepair.
The scheme will house the existing NHRM, create a new exhibition area for the British Supporting Arts Trust and create a working yard to house the charity, ‘Rehabilitation of Racehorses’.
