The new round-the-clock service has been developed in response to the changing working patterns and is available throughout the UK, 365 days of the year.
Stuart Wild, area operations manager for Hewden said: “The traditional ‘Monday to Friday’ working hours are becoming a thing of the past.
“Customers are now working longer and in some cases, particularly in the events industry, they’re working throughout the weekend too.”
“In the event of a breakdown, the new 24-hour service gives customers the peace of mind that their plant and equipment will be returned to safe operation promptly at a very competitive price, anywhere in Great Britain.”
To improve the efficiency of its service team, Hewden has also invested in over 200 new vehicles, which are now being rolled out across its depot network.
The new fleet includes the Volkswagen Caddy, featuring a 1.6L low-emission diesel engine, and the fuel-efficient Ford Transit Trend.
