Government procurement chiefs have named the major FM contractors that will compete for the biggest jobs under a new framework valued at up to £120bn.

Amey, CBRE, Equans, Kier, Mitie, OCS, Serco, Skanska, Sodexo, Vinci Facilities and Wates are among 18 firms appointed to the top Total Facilities Management lot covering individual contracts worth more than £15m a year.

The other winners on the highest value work lot are Compass, Dalkia, G4S Facilities Management, ISS, JLL, Robertson Facilities Management and Vivo Defence Services.

The Government Commercial Agency framework (RM6378) will be the recommended procurement route for FM services across central government and can also be used by councils, NHS bodies, police, fire and rescue services, education clients and devolved administrations.

Competition is also strong for major hard FM work, where 40 firms have secured places on the £2m-plus annual contract lot.

These include Amey, BAM FM, CBRE, Dalkia, Equans, Galliford Try, Graham Asset Management, Kier, Mitie, Mears, NG Bailey, OCS, Robertson, Serco, Skanska, Vinci Facilities, Vivo and Wates.

Across the three Total FM and two Hard FM lots, 15 firms secured places on all five: Amey, CBRE, Equans, ISS, JLL, Kier, Mitie, OCS, Robertson, Serco, Skanska, Sodexo, Vinci Facilities, Vivo Defence Services and Wates Property Services.

The Total FM section is split into contracts worth up to £2m a year, £2m-£15m and more than £15m, while Hard FM is divided between jobs below and above £2m annually.

The agreement is scheduled to run for eight years to August 2034.
